RBA sits tight over Christmas as house values soar | swrighteconomy

Following the bank’s last board meeting of the year, the RBA held the cash rate where it has been since November last year, despite growing expectations in financial markets it will soon have to lift rates to deal with emerging inflation pressures.

RBA governor Philip Lowe played down concerns about inflationary pressures across the economy, saying the bank was committed to keeping interest rates low. Dr Lowe said while house prices had climbed strongly over the past year, the rate of increase was slowing. The decision was released after Australian Bureau of Statistics figures showed residential house prices increased 5 per cent in the September quarter, to be up 21.7 per cent over the past year.

Benefits of vaccinating children outweigh risksOpinion: Parents can start preparing for vaccination of primary school children, so what are the risks? Benefits are to 5 year olds are:....none? Risks are? Pericarditis/myocarditis, permanent damage to the heart. Why do we need to do this? To ensure Pizer makes a healthy profit. Sydney’s version of Pravda doing their part to boost Pfizer’s profits. You people are shameless sycophants. Keep that abhorrent clot shot away from children. The Australian government will coverup any adverse effects caused by the vaccine which has resulted in more than 10,000 injury claims being filed already. They should only vaccinate kids with underlying conditions including obesity. auspol
