Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk referred to Queensland Speaker over Doherty Institute modelling comments

Queensland Chief Health Officer Dr Jeannette Young defended Ms Palaszczuk's comments at a press conference the same day the Premier made the claim in the House.

"That's why, if you remember, the Doherty modelling was saying that even when you get to that 70 or 80 per cent you probably still need to use lockdowns and other strategies judiciously … otherwise you would start seeing those results. ABC Fact Check said Ms Palaszczuk had not included this context when she spoke in Parliament, nor when she tweeted the claim that day.

Accused by someone from the same federal party who uses the same modelling to twist facts.

Modelling is out of control and so many times has been way off the mark and yet our lives continue to be governed by so much rubbish. Premier’s seem to pick and choose which modelling they want to bolster their stance.

NSW now consider closing regional NSW off from Sydney until 80% and Tasmania closed until 90%. So they reject 70% so why does ABC push for it?

As she says, if NSW is the model, then where are even 20 deaths a day And we are 120 days into it - she needs to stick to living in 2020 and the rest of us get on with it

If the modelling included a scenario that she referred to in her statement, how is that misleading? Even if she used the worst case scenario to prepare and plan? LNP are going nuts over Labor Premiers. Trying every trick to reduce ALP's popularity.
