A crowd of more than 40,000 is expected on Sunday as Glenelg seeks to end its SANFL premiership drought of 33 years.

The team beat Glenelg in a semi-final two weeks ago to subsequently secure its third grand final appearance in five years and supporters are expected to come out in their thousands to urge it to make amends."The semi-final was a pretty tough game, a wet game, so a few of the boys were feeling pretty sore after that one," he said.

Another Port player, Billy Frampton, was also reported for striking Curran but a successful challenge to the seriousness of the impact meant he escaped a ban and was instead fined $200 and reprimanded.Expect a 'physical contest'
