Mr Gatt said there were already a couple of hundred officers in the area, and the union was pushing for more resources to meet demands. "The Police Association did not stand in the way of this trial. Given the amount of public overdoses and deaths, we acknowledged that this was a serious health issue that needed to be addressed. Our members were often the first responders to overdoses," Mr Gatt said.
She said the association had valuable suggestions, and said recent commitments for more outreach teams and syringe clean-ups would make the difference.
You do know that the “stats” are falsified to suit whatever the government of the day want them to say. I know this for a fact.
