The primary school student was allegedly murdered by her mother’s fiance, Justin Stein, when she was visiting the grounds of his family’s remote Mount Wilson estate, between January 11 and 12.
“There’s no information at this stage that put her at the property at the time of the murder,” he said.“We allege the murder happened on Tuesday night or the early hours of Wednesday morning.Police have released footage of a red ute towing a boat as investigations into Charlise Mutten’s murder continue.Charlise was reported missing on January 14 and police seized a red Holden ute, which belonged to Mr Stein, late that night.
The footage then shows the ute and boat driving on Bayswater Road, Drummoyne, towards the Five Dock Bay boat ramp.
