Parramatta have thrown Bryce Cartwright a lifeline that gives the enigmatic forward one final chance to fulfil his potential in the NRL | proshenks

Cartwright’s career was again at the crossroads after his failed stint on the glitter strip came to a premature end. The Titans negotiated a release after the 25-year-old sought a return to Sydney for personal reasons.

There were concerns he wouldn’t be allowed to play in Queensland this year due to his stance, before a resolution was reached.Cartwright’s last NRL game was in the centres against the Warriors back in round nine, raising questions over whether he would get picked up by another NRL club. However, he, has trained diligently on his own since arriving in Sydney and the Eels, after doing their due diligence, believe he could turn into a bargain buy.

"They get on the field and they can do things which take your breath away, but they haven't got that hard edge about working tough and working hard."
