abc.net.au/news/anthony-albanese-condolence-motions-queen-parliament/101467394In a final official event, MPs in both houses of federal parliament have paid tribute to the Queen and shared their reflections on her death, with many acknowledging the difficult nature of the past two weeks for First Nations people.
Much of what was said has already been canvassed by the various leaders and MPs in the two weeks since the Queen's death. However, today will provide any MP who wants it an opportunity to cement their reflection on the parliamentary record.
kneel and be thankful the British settled ahead of others. Kneel in thanks that as one of the few nations with a royal family we enjoy peace, safety and continuing prosperity.
All the wows on our domestic scene is the result and blame of all our Governments since Federation. No need to blame others when the faults lie here. Not one Government has followed through with anything that has been talked about.
'fraught' is an adjective! Cannot be used in isolation.
colonisation & the dispossession and ongoing trauma inflicted upon First Nations people🙄 You would not find a single aboriginal genuinely missing their stone age lifestyle, in the name of Jesus lets have some honesty in the 'truth telling'-colonisation brought welcome progress

Time to take this opportunity and remember how the Greens lack of respect and disgraceful behaviour towards Australia and it’s institutions and vote them not just out of office but into oblivion.
The fraught legacy is ours. It’s time for Australia to accept responsibility for its own problems.
The lack of MPs willing to stand up and say that Aboriginal ppl are the better for having been colonised by the British is abominable.
Second nations people
This will help the no vote in the coming referendum.
Zero productivity from useless taxpayer-funded leeches.
Thanks Queen dying for our sins and giving us a long weekend
This is just deferring blame. You think there’s a problem? Well, you’re in parliament, FIX IT. Been 121 years since federation. Time to stop blaming others and look closer to home. Time to stop looking backwards and perhaps look forward, after all wouldn’t that be “progressive”?
“Many MPs” are grandstanding, showboating and window-dressing.
Meanwhile in Alice Springs, grog laws were cancelled and the town is now rife with crime (including DV) and tourists are avoiding it in droves. And the woke ABC reports on it without mentioning it’s aboriginals causing the problems. The do mention, health issues, gutless wonders

Why the Queen allowed James Cook to come to Australia will remain a mystery now.
Anglo envy is real.
I suppose we'll never know why Queen Elizabeth II didn't just order Captain Cook back to England and avoid all this unpleasantness.
British heritage Australian MPs are no doubt mourning for the loss of one their own in their Traditional Land in the UK. Let them. But don't expect us and other Australians to do so too!
