After some Melbourne museums announced plans to ban sugary drinks, Sky News host Jane Marwick asked "what happened to the word 'no'".

Under a new Museums Victoria and plan to foster healthier habits, sugary drinks will be phased out of cafes at Melbourne Museum, Scienceworks and the Immigration Museum from December. Ms Marwick said parents need to take initiative when it comes to ensuring their children make healthy choices. "If you don't want your children to have a sugary drink, just say no," Ms Marwick said. “Other people might enjoy a sugary drink as a treat".

Nanny state here we come. Should sugar use be a criminal offence? Be careful though as govts see the sugar tax as easy revenue despite their fake concern.

If parents developed self control in themselves and their children there would be far fewer problems.
