On Sunday night Prime Minister Scott Morrison said the budget would 'reflect' the global effects of the pandemic it should give Australians 'hope' for the future

"What you'll see in the budget is a vote of confidence in the Australian economy. What you'll see in the budget is a vote of confidence in Australians and that they, working together, will lift our economy out of the heavy blow that it's suffered and that will give people hope," Mr Morrison said on Sunday night.

Mr Morrison said the federal government would be making a call on whether to further extend JobKeeper "closer to that time".

$8,000,000 per hour since coming to power. And they gave us an economy that was in the toilet long before COVID

Personally, I expect a so-called journalistic source, like the SMH, to be able to tweet in complete English sentences.

School fees, weddings, a bus: Why people come to Australia to pick mangoes during the pandemicThe workers will spend hours toiling in the hot sun thousands of kilometres from family, but the opportunity to earn nine times what is possible at home is too good to miss, and there are already more people waiting for the next flight to Australia. More confusing and dividing narrative-sensationalism from the ABC on seasonal work. Distinction also for irrationally omitting Australian/Ni-Vanuatu workplace legislation differences. This is an opinion piece.

More people have been buying flowers for themselves to get through the pandemicMany Australian florists have been hurt by the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on weddings and events, but some say they have seen a positive side with customers wanting to treat themselves. Surprised there was no mention of all the people buying flowers for friends and family - especially in aged care - as a way to stay in touch, show they care and raise spirits when they couldn’t be there themselves.
