Opera singer Placido Domingo apologises to the women accusing him of sexual harassment after a union investigation found he behaved inappropriately with female performers.

, forcing him to sever ties with some of the foremost musical institutions in the United States.

They described it as a pattern of behaviour stretching back to the 1980s that had long been an open secret in the opera world. LA Opera said it would comment once officials there had finished reviewing the union's findings. The Met did not respond to a request for comment.
