A pharmacist has been punched in the face while trying to stop a woman from hoarding tissues, while others have had stock thrown at them and received death threats as tensions flare over limits on medication amid the COVID-19 pandemic

Some were left traumatised after receiving death threats over toilet paper and medicine shortages.

Pharmacists on the frontline of the pandemic were also increasingly fearful of contracting coronavirus and had struggled to source their own personal protective equipment, known as PPE, including masks and gloves. "This has been for things that are completely out of the control of the pharmacy team members' hands including a product being unavailable or a request for a prescription from a doctor not arriving," he said. "Every day feels like a marathon."

"There is a general feeling of the community of being on edge. We are dealing with individuals who may have just lost their job, lost a loved one, but cannot attend their funeral, gave up waiting in the Centrelink queue and have then come to the pharmacy for their other needs."

Time for a discussion about female violence and terrible behaviour at the moment. What is going on?

Then you get Chemists refusing to handover a prescription to the Elderly because they only had cash. Resulting in a Distraught Elderly lady.

I wish I was the chemist. The ending would have been different.

Coronavirus updates LIVE: $1.3 billion to fund 4000 new ICU beds, as Victoria records increase in COVID-19 cases and Australian death toll hits 20Victoria now has 968 confirmed cases of COVID-19, an increase of 51 overnight, and the state government will invest an extra $1.3b in the health system, Premier Daniel Andrews has announced. Maybe this money can employ the excess amount of admin staff who like me have to do casual work in another field Great result to only have an increase of 5.5%. Early stages we were doubling every 3 days or 33% increase. This is fantastic and I wouldn’t be surprised if we see even better results in the next few days once we see the effects of stay at home measures.
