Community matches and competitions are poised to resume in the Northern Territory on Friday as the self-proclaimed 'safest place in the country' readies itself for battle on the sporting field.

I'm definitely hyped and ready to go," he said.

It comes as NT sporting competitions recommence on Friday alongside the Northern Territory's third round of coronavirus restriction easing, which includes the resumption of all beauty services, as well as the opening up of gaming venues, cinemas and nightclubs. The Northern Territory has no active cases of coronavirus and has not recorded a case of coronavirus in over a month.
