A vaccine mandate for aged care workers in New South Wales will come into effect today.

An estimated 96.2 per cent of the almost 13,000 aged care workers in New South Wales have had at least one dose of the vaccine.

The Health Services Union, however, is calling for an extension to the deadline as they claim the already strained industry cannot cope with losing five per cent of the workforce.

If we hadn’t had covid, Australia would have sought out, over 18 months, 300,000 more immigrants and not had 450,000 foreign workers leave. If there’s no housing spare now, where were those 750,000 people expected to have lived?
