New South Wales has recorded 29 COVID-related deaths - marking the deadliest day of the pandemic for the embattled state.

On Wednesday Daily COVID-19 cases in NSW were pushed to 92,264 after a backlog of positive RAT results from the past 12 days were published.

It comes despite 93.8 per cent of the state’s over 16 population having received two doses of the vaccine and 95.2 per cent having received at least one dose. On Monday five-11 year olds became eligible to receive a Pfizer jab with the focus shifting to getting vaccines into the arms of students before the school year begins.

New infections in the Omicron outbreak are expected to peak in the third or fourth week of January before they begin to fall next month, according to government modelling. After breaking multiple records this week hospitalisations in Victoria have again reached an all-time high with 976 patients now admitted.

Lol I'm sure if a car accident victim was rushed to hospital they'd class that as covid related death too ENOUGH ALREADY

Two friends had booster shots and both are sick as dogs now. Healthy as fuck before booster. How many more you pricks are hiding. Be fkd I'm getting a booster. Vaccinated and not convinced anymore.

Waiting for Dom to take responsibility

Ok were patients heart attacks with covid asthma attack then tested positive for covid etc just asking how are hospitals recording cases

The govt continually report that these people had underlying conditions, as if that is a good excuse for their bad decisions, but the fact is, if they did not contract Covid they would still be alive.
