A NSW MP has been fined $1000 after staying at his Central Coast holiday home and breaching a coronavirus public health order

.

In a Cabinet meeting he had argued against the travel restrictions without declaring a conflict of interest, The Daily Telegraph reported. Officers spoke with the 55-year-old on Thursday and fined him after they were alerted to the fact he had relocated to the Pearl Beach holiday home"in contravention of current Ministerial Direction under the Public Health Act," NSW Police said in a statement.NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian had defied calls to sack the MP and said she would wait for police to first establish the facts.

Not wanting to"cause a distraction", Mr Harwin confirmed he had arrived back in Sydney in a statement on Thursday.

florezcata What about Pell. He drove from Melbourne to Sydney.!!!

These types should have to do a Phyc test to discover their level of entitlement. His must be massive.

As the police are out fining people, often who are not raising the risk of spreading the virus, he should, as a legislator stand down. His lack of judgement bodes ill for his role in parliament.

It’s all for show, he’ll get out of it, plus it’s pocket change for him anyhow

Resign...in the UK Scotlands chief medical officer was forced to resign as a result of going to her holiday home

BUT Gladys says 'Don't do it again or you will have to sit in the corner, you bad boy' Pell drives to Sydney, not even stopped by police or questioned.. This MP goes to holiday home It is farcical.. RULES ARE MADE TO BE BROKEN..BY LNP🇦🇺👎

PoliceNewsTas What a joke. On his salary and in his position he should have been fined the maximum amount. Fines should not only be a punishment for the offender but also send a strong message to others. This does neither! GladysB nswpolice NSWJustice

does that come out of his parliamentary slush fund? does he need to resign for his irresponsible behaviour recklessly endangering the lives of others? auspol
