The NSW government has launched what it is calling “the world’s largest shark surveillance program” as Australians head to the water going into summer, according to Sky News host Chris Smith.

“The long-range drones will monitor multiple beaches, while a smartphone app, will notify you, if and when, a tagged

shark turns up to the local beach.”Mr Pawle said the drone program is very impressive, expensive, and “particularly stupid”.
