NRL statement on Bronson Xerri

The Provisional Suspension Notice asserts that Mr Xerri returned a positive A-sample for exogenous Testosterone, Androsterone, Etiocholanolone and 5b-androstane-3a,17b-diol which are prohibited by the World Anti-Doping Agency and the NRL’s Anti-Doping Policy. He was tested by the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority on 25 November 2019.

Mr Xerri is prohibited from participating in any WADA compliant sport, including rugby league, while the provisional suspension is in place.The NRL has spoken with Mr Xerri and advised him of the support services available to him.

Peptides at it again. Thought clubs put precautions and education so this stupidity wouldn’t happen. Great role models for the youths of today. NRL is sinking fast and needs to toughen up on clubs and players individually. Life ban he’ll just pick up another sport.

If he is guilty, then that’s his career well and truly over! But why did it take asada six months to present the positive test ? Are they that hellbent on disrupting the nrl just days out from the season re starting?

Whilst not defending what he has done,serves himself right, but why has it taken so long for him, the club and the NRL to be told. 5 months is a bloody long time. ASADA must only have 1 employee for it to take that long and then he/she are not doing their job properly.
