JUST IN - The NRL says it WILL play Round 2 in empty stadiums, but beyond that is uncertain

“In this regard we are leaving every option available to us open. And because it is changing so quickly we would be silly to go in one direction. so we are going to review all options open to us including isolating players. Including suspending the season.

“In the interim we will continue Round 2. At this stage we will play Round 2 and assess the situation. We will use that time to consider the biosecuirty advice, the pandemic expert advice. It gives us time to consult our players and staff and all the other participants in our game. “It could have catastrophic impacts on us moving forward. Our money will only last so long and once it is distinguished we are in big trouble.
