‘It’s as simple as that,’ Scott Morrison says, despite immigration minister not disputing tennis star’s belief he had valid vaccination exemption

“It’s as simple as that,” the prime minister told 2GB radio. “This is about someone who sought to come to Australia and not comply with the entry rules at our border. That’s what this is about.”

“For present purposes, I will assume that Mr Djokovic’s position is correct rather than seeking to get to the bottom of this here,” Hawke wrote. The immigration minister used powers under section 133C of the Migration Act to cancel Djokovic’s visa “on health and good order grounds, on the basis that it was in the public interest to do so”.Morrison denied on Monday that the decision to cancel the visa had the potential to encourage anti-vaccination elements even more.

Morrison left open the possibility that Djokovic might be allowed back into Australia at some point over the next three years.

Quite pathetic really since he was given a valid medical exemption by the Vic Government - had nothing to with his belief he had one - he literally had one as has now been admitted by Morrison

Yes praise yourself for cancelling the visa that you issued 'How good is that' ScottytheLiar LNPDisgrace

No. He was deported because he was an anti-vaxxer. You know, like Craig Kelly, Clive Palmer and half the LNP back bench, all of whom Scott Morrison refuses to criticise.

No the nong who approved the visa breached the border rules

incorrect reporting, he didn't breach rules, i'm more interested that if he did, wouldn't his sponsors pull out of any of his endorsements? your reporting stinks...💩

The fool is gone. Good. Move on. ... Time to refocus on the issues concerning the overwelming majority of parents...

“The main problem with Australians isn’t that so many of them are descended from convicts, but that so many are descended from prison officers”. Clive James
