Ward remembers even believing in a"crazy" spinster stereotype herself, when she was younger.

As she grew older she learnt there's"no causal relationship" between state of mind and"whether or not you marry and have a family"."I certainly hope that people don't think I'm crazy old spinster living down the road, but I'm sure somebody does, because we are prejudiced beings. We like to be nasty to each other, it seems.
