Minister for Water, Property and Housing Melinda Pavey says building new dams in NSW isn’t just about water, but also about providing “security” and “opportunity” to communities and farmers in the years to come. Credlin

Minister for Water, Property and Housing Melinda Pavey says building new dams in NSW isn’t just about water, but also about providing “security” and “opportunity” to communities and farmers in the years to come. “We sometimes don't have a water shortage, but we have a shortage of being able to capture and store it so we can keep our rivers flowing, our frogs alive, our platypus alive, and our fish alive,” she told Sky News host Peta Credlin.

“This is about giving our towns, our communities, and our farmer's security and certainty of supply into the future as we have this type of climate variability that we’ve always had. “We need to protect our communities and grow their opportunities to have good jobs.” Her comments come following the NSW government’s announcement that it will join forces with the Federal Government to build the first dam in the state for more than 30 years.

Isn't that what water does.

Your right can’t they send in The Army To Farmers with food for their Live Stock ?

Dams are good but a national water redirection program from the tropical north to the south and southwest would be far more exciting!

Good luck with that spin... Auspol
