Liberal Senator Alex Antic says a net zero plan will potentially subject Australia to a “whole raft of economic consequences” despite the country only producing 1 per cent of the world’s emissions.

“And we’ve got China, on the other side of the world there, spewing out more emissions than all the developed nations together – and they’re not even showing up to Glasgow,” Mr Antic told Sky News host Chris Kenny.

Mr Antic said he was “absolutely against net zero” and believed it was a slogan “created by global bureaucrats and crony capitalists”.

Another Liberal. Another incorrect statement

We need more intelligent minds understanding this

Australia sells emissions to others, so this is a totally immoral and unsustainable argument. It will be cheaper to stop climate change than the consequences of deliberately sticking your head in the sand and your hand out to the fossil exploitation industry. Think of the kids!

Net zero is a complete disaster for this country.

Anything that gives you 2 for 1 is normal a good deal, fix energy creation and defence at the same time, unlike you I'm not afraid of people who dye thier hair blue

Crazy. 😪
