A Queensland court hears a 77-year-old woman has used enduring power of attorney to fleece an 85-year-old woman of $2.86 million.

A woman accused of using an enduring power of attorney to fleece an 85-year-old woman out of almost $3 million has faced a Brisbane court on fraud charges.A 77-year-old woman allegedly made numerous withdrawals from her bank account totalling $2.86 million

The accused allegedly made a number of withdrawals from the older woman's account, including depositing $297,000 into the bank account of a male co-accused.The ABC understands it allegedly included hundreds of thousands of dollars that was spent at casinos. "Misuse of an enduring power of attorney is a serious offence, and the alleged offending in this case could be considered a form of elder abuse and a grave abuse of trust," he said.

EVERY well paid professionals would like to take benefit of the elderly, politican, lawyers, wealthy business peoples, CEOs.. Very sad to be older.

An unfortunate occurrence that is played out every day all over Australia. The ease at which unsuspecting and vulnerable elderly are coerced into entering into a POA is extremely common. Lawyers (POA) fees are outrageous and then they hold up execution of the will for months
