Natural Disaster Minister David Littleproud says he has “no idea” if unprecedented spring fire conditions plaguing Australia are the result of man-made climate change and doesn’t think it “really matters” if he has an opinion on the topic.

Mr Littleproud told Sky News on Tuesday “I’m not a scientist, I haven’t made an opinion one way or the other”. “I don’t have an opinion but I don’t think it really matters.

” “These extremes from both sides have taken away the maturity of debate we should have about keeping, simply, a clean environment and making sure we give our people the tools to be able to go out and protect themselves in a changing climate.” Mr Littleproud admitted the climate has been changing “since we first settled this place”. His remarks come after Queensland Fire and Emergency Services said “fire weather has never been as severe this early in spring”.

We should just stop at D_LittleproudMP having “no idea” period!

We live in an ice age

He should just say it’s a massive fraud. Australia should tear up the stupid Paris agreement and stop this nonsense.

The Minister needs to make more regular appearances in Parliament not go MIA.

Cuckoo !

For once everyone agrees with him...he has no idea!!

Climate scientist replies back to D_LittleproudMP

Gee at last some one who has the guts to call it as he see’s it. He doesn’t know and what he really cares about are conditions that NSW & QLD that caused this are really unknown. Anybody who agree should shut up. Identify why they started.

No idea. Couldn't care less. Any professional outfit would sack this bloke. But the Nats make him leader! Nats dont give a rats about farmers.

They need to look back to Black Saturday fires or have they already forgotten!! Back burning and fire breaks are essential to protect property and more importantly Lives! Lest we forget! I still think the politicians for those laws in Vic should be charged with manslaughter!

There all fcuk wits puppets to the UN

I think you need to review your unprecedented claim. 1951 and again 1953. Emotive reports seem to trump fact. You're not the ABC auspol

There is everything precedented about kids lighting fires and governments not doing appropriate back burning

Maybe he should consult the Fire Fighters who have been ringing warning bells in Canberra about Climate change. Maybe he should visit towns that are becoming unviable to live in because they no longer have water. We need action on water infrastructure and management.

He doesn’t know 🤔🤡🤡🤡

WOW, a honest Polly. So the Media mock him. You can do better then this SKY.

Nah not responsible.

Crucial words there being 'he has no idea'.

No. He's the Minister in charge of Causing Natural Disasters.
