Victoria’s Health Minister Jenny Mikakos has refused to comment on her late-night weekend tweets in which she said she was “deeply sorry” if her effort to combat COVID-19 since its arrival in Australia in January was not enough. “The tweets speak for themselves; I’m not going to be a commentator on myself,” she said at the media conference.

“This is a life and death matter, we’re seeing more and more Victorians losing a loved one.” At about midnight on Saturday Ms Mikakos started a thread on Twitter. “I’ve worked every day to keep everyone safe. I have put every ounce of energy I’ve had into that effort. If it wasn’t enough, then I’m deeply sorry,” Ms Mikakos said. “I’ve always striven to be upfront and measured about the challenges facing us.

JennyMikakos For the independent judge to a fair job does she not first need to answer questions?

JennyMikakos Nothing but a puppet.

JennyMikakos resign

JennyMikakos Why should she?

JennyMikakos It's amazing how many people get themselves high paying senior positions that they don't have the experience for or the capability of handling. Don't we deserve better?

JennyMikakos Hcq

JennyMikakos Is she still around- STEP DOWN. Doesn’t the government get it. We are all into it. Stop the BS, you all have been EXPOSED.

JennyMikakos

JennyMikakos Make HCQ over the counter and no one needs to be sorry again.

JennyMikakos

JennyMikakos So why can't you question Twitter statements?.. it's a daily occurrence!

JennyMikakos

JennyMikakos All she has to do at this stage is to make HCQ readily available for staff and patients at Age Care facilities around the country. BLOOD IS IN YOUR HANDS! No one else has to die!

JennyMikakos Jenny has a job to do;Her job was to oversee and implement the medical advice;I do not believe it is unfair for people to expect that this job be performed appropriately; It was well-understood that this virus was extremely contagious and produced a high mortality in aged persons.

JennyMikakos Now she wants to make money on Twitter. Can’t we just sack her so we can save a little bits on our tax dollars?

JennyMikakos springst Sky News must make a “case” of Jenny Mikakos and ensure her public life is over. Force her to resign from parliament. Victoria’s most hated cry baby.

JennyMikakos Of course she has.. She simply had to much ouzo and felt some self pity... Oh poor dear sole. She may go down as the most incompetent Minister is any state govt in Australia history.

JennyMikakos Just resign already. She should never have been given this vital role because very clearly she wasn't cut out for the job.

JennyMikakos And your surprised? This flog doesn’t answer anything.

JennyMikakos In a real democracy when you have nothing but an apology you should also have a resignation.

Doctors, patients should be free to decide on whether to take hydroxychloroquine | Sky News AustraliaDoctors and patients should be free to decide for themselves whether to take hydroxychloroquine as a possible treatment for COVID-19, according to Sky News host Rowan Dean.\n\nThe drug has been the source of international scrutiny after US President Donald Trump said it could be a 'game changer' and confirmed he is taking it as a way to ward off the virus.\n\nMr Dean says 68 studies around the world, with 41 of those peer-reviewed, argue hydroxychloroquine is an effective drug to combat the novel coronavirus if taken early.\n\nAn Oxford University-led trial into the drug told the BBC last week the drug may be beneficial in preventing COVID-19.\n\n“We know now that it doesn't work in treatment of hospitalised patients,' Professor Nick White said. \n\n'But it still is a medicine that may prove beneficial in preventing Covid-19.'\n\nHowever, some medical bodies, including The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, have urged patients to steer clear of taking the drug unless they are part of randomised controlled trials.\n\n“What do we have to lose if we embrace such treatments?” Mr Dean asked.\n\n “If we know they are safe, nothing. Millions of Australians spend a fortune on alternative medicines, natural treatments and homeopathic cures that may or may not actually be doing any good, but we don't ban them unless they are proven to be dangerous.\n\n“We rely on individuals to make their own informed choices, in consultation with their own doctors, nutritionists or whoever. That's called living in a free society.”\n rowandean rowandean That poor bastard dean is not right in the head rowandean How about morphine to numb your pain from the virus? How about other narcotics and medically approved, but still addictive or dangerous drugs? This is slippery slope that wouldn't end well for everyone.

Rowan Dean (certifiable loon) finds yet another guy whose recommendations have been rejected by the government. For all we know Dean found this guy in a gutter (a regular Dean hangout) or at a Pete Evans love in. - the home of pure unadulterated crap Hydroxychloroquine Should Be Available Over The Counter Give he has credibility, why wouldn’t the government take a close look at it !!!
