Drugs were so readily available in prisons, a visitor came especially to buy drugs from inmates, the ice inquiry has heard

Drugs were so readily available in prisons that it was often easier to score inside than out, with the ice inquiry hearing of a case where a visitor came to a prison especially to buy drugs from inmates.

“My goal was to get the next drug, it didn't matter if it was from the publican, a drug dealer or a GP," Mr House said. Broken Hill may have a sizeable jail, but the commission heard the regional centre lacks drug detoxification services. Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research statistics for Broken Hill LGA show that the rate per 100,000 people for possession and/or use of amphetamine incidents in 2018 was more than four times the state average.

How could that many ppl be so stupid? And why spend so much on a fest ticket just to have no memory of it? 🤷🏻‍♀️🙈
