'My body has lived a long life but not my mind': A 100-year-old's secrets to a long, happy life

"I say from the neck upwards I'm fine, it's my neck downwards that I'm not too happy about, but in my mind I don't seem to be growing old. I don't want to grow old. I can't grow old."

As a young mum, Kathleen spent five years pounding the beat as a policewoman during the war while her husband was a prisoner in Poland. "It wasn't then like it is now. I think the policewomen now have a tough time, I've seen them," Mrs Golder said."I used to play the violin before the war, having lessons, and joined a little orchestra but war destroyed everything and there was none of that," she said.
