'Ready for a COVID SmartStart': Twice-weekly RATs, mask mandates for all staff and high school studentsMillions of rapid antigen tests (RATs) will be provided to students and teachers before the start of the school term, NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet and Minister for Education Sarah Mitchell have announced. Wouldn’t you have thought that the plan to return to school would have already been formulated at the beginning of this current reopening of NSW , but no , typo of this Liberal Party reactionary governing style . NO PLANS , just knee jerk reactions and catch phrases . Guilty. Dom_Perrottet Public or private schools? With 823,000 students attending 2,220 public schools, adding staff that will be about 4-5 tests per individual. If Perrottet includes private schools its about 2-3 RATs per individual. Which makes the distribution too thin

Pharmacists struggle to meet demand for free COVID test kits amid stock shortageMany chemists do not have enough rapid antigen tests to start handing out free kits to pensioners when the federal scheme begins on Monday, as the Pharmacy Guild blasts the government for failing to regulate their sale.
