For the media to relentlessly insist President Donald Trump’s claims of voter fraud or irregularity are baseless shows they are “wilfully misleading the public”, says Sky News contributor Daisy Cousens. “There’s also this insistence that Trump is losing court case after court case, that’s not true,” Ms Cousens told Sky News host Gary Hardgrave.
“According to Rudy Giuliani they only actually have about three cases on the go. “The most important point here is that the media is insisting and insisting that Pennsylvania certified its votes and so has Michigan and so is these other states – so that’s it that’s final. “That’s not the case, votes can be decertified by a court order.” Ms Cousens said the “buck stops with the legislature”. “There are legs on this yet, and I am fascinated to see what happens,” she said.

US media outlets ‘actively discredited’ Biden family stories | Sky News AustraliaJournalist Drew Holden says America has seen an active campaign across media boards which lined up to ensure people did not hear about the negative stories surrounding the Biden family.\n\nHis comments come regarding various stories surrounding the Biden family’s business dealings, which most recently saw Hunter Biden become the subject of a federal investigation into possible tax fraud.\n\nMr Holden said he thinks the most accurate word to describe what the majority of the US media has done with the stories is “discredit” them.\n\n“We saw a pretty active campaign across the boards of media outlets – one after the other – line up and say ‘not only are we not going to talk about this story, we’re going to very deliberately tell you to not listen about the story',” he told Sky News host Rita Panahi.\n\n“There were a lot of outlets that got burned pretty bad, they got burned heading into 2016 with the coverage about Hillary Clinton’s emails – it turned out to be not as big or interesting as maybe we thought they were then.\n\n“But then they also got burned in the other direction, they talked about Russian collusion over and over again and they realised that a lot of what they had been fed just wasn’t true, wasn’t accurate.”\n\nMr Holden said media outlets then faced the “big allegation” about Hunter Biden which came shortly before the US election and they “really worked to smother it” before being forced to report on it, but only after the election had passed.\n\n“I think a lot of it has to do with well-intentioned concern that they were going to take something which they weren’t sure was a story and make it into story.”\n
