Chris Kenny says many journalists and politicians are “keen to talk up the crisis despite the evidence” that according to a University of Auckland study Tuvalu’s total land area grew by 2.9 per cent in the four decades to 2014. KennyOnMedia

Sky News host Chris Kenny says “most” media has been “happy to oblige” the impression created by Pacific politicians that their islands are “in mortal peril” from climate change.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison face pressure last week after he attended the Pacific Islands Forum in Tuvalu and refused to meet demands of Pacific Islands leaders who called for a ban on coal-fired power stations. Mr Kenny said many journalists and politicians are “keen to talk up the crisis despite the evidence” that according to a University of Auckland study Tuvalu’s total land area grew by 2.9 per cent in the four decades to 2014.

The big money 💰 being earned today! Is by the climate change alarmists! And joe Public are eating it up!

Viola1500 When does work start on building the sea walls around these islands

No shit

It true in the bible about how land size increases as population increases, that's why global depop, abortion, SSM etc are abominations. How much land haven't they told us about after all the never wanted another country going independent ever again like USA.

An increased land area does not mean that the danger of inundation as sea levels rise is reduced, as it is likely to be only millimetres above the existing sea level. This misreading of statistics by 'journalists' such as Kenny merely highlights their ignorance.

Oh dear. How's his dog these days?

Chris you dishonest little grub. Auspol

This is evidence of the islands area increasing but not its elevation, so its useless as a measure of wether the sea level is changing. You need satelight altimeters that cover huge areas so your not misled by regional variations.

SCH451 These islanders want money. Yep, that’s it. The End.

Dont doubt ur story but....where's the study?

Here’s a link to the study. A “net increase in sediment” is promoted as the key reason for the observed expansion. And that’s fine, sedimentation has made some islands wider, BUT NOT HIGHER. Sea level is rising, at 3.2mm/yr.

Had this issue been in the 80's.....response from Bob hawke.. .. 'Your a BUM'...

You lost me at Chris Kenny 🤮

The left are there to serve nothing more than their own narrative. It’s lies, it’s ideology and it’s rubbish..

Very interesting and insightful 🤔
