A man aged in his 30s is one of 12 coronavirus deaths in the past 24 hours, as Victoria recorded 466 new cases, marking the third day in a row of cases in the 400s.Premier Daniel Andrews said the overnight death toll also included two males in their 70s, two males and three females in their 80s, and four females in their 90s.Advertisement
Despite the consistent number of cases, Mr Andrews reminded Victorians there was hope they would drop as the effect of stage four restrictions started to be felt. "Victorians are equal to this challenge, even despite the fact that it's perhaps the greatest challenge we have ever faced." He said one of the main challenges for the government was still aged care and hospitals - there are 1600 cases linked to aged care - but that a renewed focus also needed to be placed on the disability care sector.

International Arrivals, are spreading this disease shopping in our Supermarkets.. All people filling up on petrol should be made to wear gloves. The Covid19 can remain on surfaces.. so petrol bowsers are a good way for that spread, particularly in winter.
If those International Arrivals had housing to go to.. they should have gone home and stayed home.. with deliveries only for at least 1 month.. not stayed in a hotel and spread the disease via our city centre. They all should be retested.. for this virus and all their contacts

Anyone working in Victoria dealing with the public need to be checked for Covid-19. Pharmacies, where sick people go.. neither those people or the staff are checked routinely for Covid-19. That's alarming. Likewise, where we buy our food.. no sales are checked for Covid19.

We have all those International Arrivals, unchecked from Covid19. When we know, that the virus is in people for over and up to 100 days.. as documented on television to the public. We have sales people in Supermarkets, who aren't checked for Covid19.. Pharmacies unchecked also.

The Premier needs to chase up the 20,000 plus international arrivals into Melbourne, to discover how many of them still carry the Covid-19 virus. Those people who were in Quarantined could still have this virus, and are still spreading it, until they are realised. Testing done?
