man who tried to drive through border barriers to get back into the state has been handed a $4000 fine.
The 53-year-old was refused entry at the border check points multiple times this afternoon because he didn't have the pass which is needed for entry.The small truck ended up on the grass at the Queensland border. After he was refused, he drove into some of the barriers at Dixon St, and his truck became stuck on a pavement.
Queensland Police said as well as a fine for failing to comply with COVID-19 border directions, he was given a traffic infringement fine.
