M&M’s mocked for ‘woke’ rebrand

The M&M’s website includes new “profiles” for the characters – Yellow, Red, Orange, Brown, Blue and Green.

Ms Hwang said M&M’s would also be using a wider colour palette in its branding, and would be placing more emphasis on the ampersand in its name. “It’s a distinctive element of the M&M’s logo that connects the two Ms together, and it’s really a signal of our belief as a brand that we are better together,” she said.“I will no longer be buying M&M’s. I’ve had enough of this woke nonsense,” one Twitter user wrote.

“Nobody asked for this. Especially women who have loved the Green M&M for years. Bring back the boots!” another said.

Great news for the LGBTQM&M community

Who cares? They are just a poor knockoff of Smarties anyway. The company has ridden on the coattails of its competitors since it's inception. A couple of mentally retarded chocolates is not going to absolve the brand of its involvement in child slave labor in Africa.

M&M’s need to go even further, add an all white M&M. Can bet those crying in outrage, will be extremely conflicted. It wont be the M&M that will melt, in hand or mouth.

1 woman per week is murdered by a current or former partner but empowering the female population through an inspirational character made of chocolate is definitely a game changer for us 🙄

Well, changing characters is not enough...I also suggest changing the name M&M...it is too 'M'asculine! Something like M&F&L&G&B&T&T&Q&Q&I&A&A&P works nicely!....inclusivity of gender, sexuality, etc...otherwise, I am no buying M&M anymore! 🤡
