Alarming anxiety rate among children | Sky News AustraliaA new survey has revealed 80 per cent of primary school leaders see anxiety as a significant issue within their schools.\n\nThe survey also found 90 per cent of school leaders stated anxiety in students was placing major time and resources burdens on schools, with 60 per cent of school leaders reporting that they had insufficient resources to deal with the issue.\n\nPsychologist & Child Behaviour Expert Michael Hawton says about “one third of anxiety is genetic and about two thirds of anxiety are learnt”.\n\n“Part of the problem is us adults around kids sometimes can contribute to that anxiety by the way we react to certain events,” he said. \n\n'It's important to be age appropriate with kids and not involve them in conversations that really is beyond them to solve.'\n\nImage: Getty 'The world is ending' 'You're all going to die' 'You're oppressed' 'you're maginalised' 'Your leaders are evil' ..... Australia should not 'deport its problems': Ardern | Sky News AustraliaNZ Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has criticised Australia's stringent deportation policy, saying the policy is 'corrosive' damaging the Trans-Tasman relationship.\n\nAustralia's deportation policy, anyone who has committed a serious criminal offence will be deported to their country of origin.\n\nAround 2,000 New Zealanders have been deported under the policy.\n\nMs Ardern said some of those who are deported arrived in Australia when they were children and only have tenuous links to New Zealand.\n\nDuring a press conference with Prime Minister Scott Morrison, Ms Ardern attacked the policy\n\n“Australia is well within its rights to deport individuals who break your laws. New Zealand does the same. But we have a simple request – send back Kiwis. Genuine Kiwis. Amendment to national anthem ‘a good idea’: Kenny | Sky News AustraliaAustralian Olympic champion Cathy Freeman has called for an amendment to the national anthem, a move which Sky News host Chris Kenny said was a “good idea'. \n\nOlympic Gold Medalist Cathy Freeman has come out in support of the Recognition in Anthem Project, which argues the current anthem 'doesn't acknowledge Indigenous existence in Australia”. \n\nThe Recognition in Anthem Project - founded by former Victorian Supreme Court judge Peter Vickery QC - launched its proposal for an updated version of Advance Australia Fair.\n\nMr Kenny said the proposed change, is “worth doing, and worth doing in time for this year’s Olympics”. \n\nHe said the changes would make the anthem 'more accurate (and) more inclusive”. \n\n If she gives back our gold!
