"I don't think people realise the pain of waking up one day and realising that something that has taken generations to build is lost in half a night," BlazeAid coordinator Ron 'Spud' Murphy said. It has been a testing time over the past fortnight, but here everyone knows everyone and their spirits have not dimmed as they pause to reflect on the disaster and praise the efforts of their neighbours and the wider community.
