MORNING BRIEFING: Archbishop Glenn Davies says anyone in the church in favour of same-sex marriage should step away as blessings of gay couples are referred to a tribunal, while a Sydney prison officer is charged with having an inappropriate relationship with an inmate.

Anglican Archbishop Glenn Davies says the time has come to"take action" against same-sex marriage and any clergy who wish to change the church's stance should"please leave".

"They should start a new church or join a church more aligned to their views — but do not ruin the Anglican Church," he said. "Please leave us. We have far too much work to do in evangelising Australia to be distracted by the constant pressure to change our doctrine in order to satisfy the lusts and pleasures of the world."

In a speech to the Synod of the Diocese of Sydney, Archbishop Davies also said the offering of same-sex blessings in Newcastle and Wangaratta in Victoria was"a serious breach of fellowship" and had been referred to the Appellate Tribunal. The NSW Government is moving to reinstate the need for organisers of what are deemed"high risk" music festivals to have safety plans in place.

A bill being introduced today requires organisers to demonstrate they have enough security and support measures in place to ensure the safety of festival goers. This morning, Premier Gladys BerejiklianAlleged romance between guard and inmatePolice were called in after reports the 20-year-old was romantically involved with a 30-year-old prisoner at a jail in western Sydney.

How about you leave .....your “charity” status at the door of the ATO if your going to breach discrimination guidelines......

Religious freedom gone mad

The Sydney Anglicans are a breakaway evangelical group and don’t speak for other states.

Your Grace, attitudes such as yours saw me leave the AnglicanChurch 30 years ago.

Wish he would leave

When you break down the basics of religion it comes down to sacrifice. Ben Shapiro said this once “ when I was a kid all the kids around me were eating non-Kaysha food it looked delicious I wanted it but due to my religion I was not allowed to eat, hence the meeting of sacrifice”

Whatever happened to 'we are all God's children' ? He needs to lift his game.

A truly bigotted bunch

Sydney Archbishop and his Church If They Intend to Stay in Australia MUST PAY TAXES like the Businesses they are OR LEAVE

Is the role of a Church to evangalise? If a Church essentially wants to convert the world, should not they be seen as a threat to our civilisation and any concept of free speech which is enshrined in all democracies?

FatherBob Smart peoples please leave

No more tax exemptions

Ah yes, a good old-fashioned, tub-thumping, kiddy-fiddling 'poofta basher', who masturbates to the sadomasochistic equivalent of a swastika, oblivious to the truth that Jesus was a gay stoner: the twelve blokes, the visions and shit...

Yeah - they don't like same sex marriage in the catholic church. Same sex sex is very popular though.

Did u also ask the idolators, adulterers, thrives (those 3 made the 'big 10'), the greedy, swindlers, drunkards and revilers to leave because they r all mentioned together.. If not, Mat 17:23 has a special message for u specifically...God bless, as I brush ur dust from my sandels

caffenefiend Never understood why any same sex person would want to join a repressive patriarchal setup.

Christian Church excluding the people who they should be 'leading to the light'. It's not Christian.

What about the pedophiles?

Religious freedom gone mad. Can't wait for the Government to give them the freedom to discriminate as freely as they want in the name of religion. They can really start the inquisition and root out those who voted for same sex marriage.

Ok... bye.

No problem. Oh by the way, you have to pay tax now.

'Please leave'..........our cult.

What a Fkn cheek!

Just like Jesus would have!!! ?

But it’s ok for his mates to be pedos

🤦🏻‍♂️
