Live: Melbourne enters second day of lockdown

Dr Swan said that the punitive approach may not be the best way to go about things, and that more needs to be done with advertising for targeted groups - something Indigenous communities have done very well."We all know that there are serious problems with outbreaks. The other issue … is that Victoria is taking a pretty punitive approach and a lot of Victorians … understand that you need the stick as well. But the evidence is that punitive approaches don't necessarily work very well.

"They didn't actually that well under stage 3. One in four people weren't there when the army turned up and knocked on your door. So the question is - have we actually buried into communities and got communities to take ownership of this?"Now, the poster child for this are Aboriginal communities in Australia. There's been no COVID-19 effectively in Aboriginal communities.

"We've almost got no sophisticated advertising campaigns. We have some of the best advertising people in the world in Australia, and we're not seeing interested, targeted creatives that are going to move young people and others, and using role models and all sorts of things.

Get a grip Australia, thank god death rates so low. UK at 45000+ dead may be more....that is half the capacity of the MCG. Think on stay in and follow orders it is not a drill.

Why ? Won’t the gov give an over the counter test available for all to act as responsible individuals with civil conscience without loosing civil liberties. The extent of police state is scary. Cv19 we still not permitted all facts and NO alternative views permitted.

Live? I predicted the second day of lockdown would follow the first.

June 16 Victoria C-Virus Active cases was less then 380, Today 7460+ 6 AM Last 24 hours, Active cases NSW 13, VIC 439 Deaths from C-Virus NSW 50 Victoria 136 Spin it as much as you like it WAS Dans Stuff ups that caused this Crises today

'Second' day of Lockdown. Victorians have become SO STUPID that they're going to forget all the restrictions and LOCKDOWNS over the last 5 months, and believe the fight against the 'make believe' virus only started yesterday lol. I didn't think it could get more hilarious.

I think one difficulty with the lockdown is that if say, your phone or tablet breaks down, it can't go to a service centre to be repaired which will make communications and working from home even more stressful.

Mood is changing
