Queensland Labor said the win represented a "an extraordinary show of support from the Stretton community"In a series of Twitter posts, Queensland Labor congratulated candidate James Martin, who was a long-time staffer of Mr Pegg's. "After the sad loss of Duncan Pegg, this result represents an extraordinary show of support from the Stretton community for @AnnastaciaMP and her strong Labor team," a post read.

Well done
Comments here show the complete ignorance of people who support James Martin. I am APolitical and State LNP not a good option, I gave James a chance and talked over a coffee and he has no in idea of local issues, and I thought Stretton voters were smarter
Congrats! And just knowing that you’re not a member representing ScoMo is a sign for the better. ScoMo has utterly mismanaged Australians through this pandemic and unfortunately Gladys & her entourage had taken a liking to his style of leadership and mismanaged the people of NSW.
There's no reason to vote for LNP. Their policies are now cranked up copies of Labor policies. They've completely lost their base trying to appease Labor voters.
Well Done! :)
Good work Labor!
Labor all the way. Liberals the party of debt and deficit. Failed vaccine roll-out
