Labor ramps up cruise ship attack on 'silent' Dutton | Sky News Australia

Hundreds of cases and five deaths are linked to an outbreak of the virus aboard the Ruby Princess cruise ship, which docked in Sydney. The ship has since been the centre of a political blame game after 2,700 passengers were permitted to disembark despite several passengers on board reporting flu-like symptoms. The Home Affairs Minister was himself diagnosed with coronavirus last month, but has since declared he is feeling well and capable of working from home.

"We have a border security crisis on our hands and we’ve heard nothing from the Home Affairs Minister,” she said. “When he was diagnosed with coronavirus I was one of the first to wish him well … but the Minister for Home Affairs has turned up on 2GB radio and he said he’s feeling well and capable of working from home, so if that’s the case, it is incumbent he stands up and explain to the nation how this border security failure occurred.
