Labor's difficulties in winning the Eden-Monaro by-election is a result of its recent 'appalling policy agenda,' according to Sky News host Chris Kenny.

Labor's difficulties in winning the Eden-Monaro by-election is a result of its recent "appalling policy agenda," according to Sky News host Chris Kenny.

Saturday’s important by-election went down to the wire, with postal votes propelling Labor candidate Kristy McBain to victory, although the Liberals have not conceded as the Australian Electoral Commission is continuing to count ballots. “There was a swing against labor, which his humiliating for an Opposition party,” Mr Kenny said. “Still a win is a win is a win”. Mr Kenny said federally, “it doesn't matter whether they are led by Anthony Albanese, Bill Shorten or Tanya Plibersek”.

So what were the Coalition's difficulties in winning the by-election?

Also...

Yeah it sucks to win. The knives are out for Albo now that Labor have won. Winning. Who needs it? I guess the LNP are glad they lost, because winning, nah.

I'm sorry. Is Sky calling all those who voted Labor 'appalling' ? Seriously, you need to acknowledge that you are broadcasting a political message on behalf of the Liberals. Kenny isn't a commentator. albo auspol

Believe it or not, I agree with the headline but not any of these cheap claptrap talking points. It's alwaya easy from the pork-barrel side.

Nice history rewriting. It was LNP who had difficulty winning because as we know they lost, because they’re all losers....

You lost me at 'according to Chris Kenny'

Wow it must so disappointing to know that your fascist slant is ignored by a majority of decent Australians.

Hey Chris, who won Eden Monaro? Suckers.

Sour grapes are best served to right wing arsehole commentators on sky news.

Considering how popular SkidMo is supposed to be the Liberals totally fucked it up

What bullshit

Worry about your own

They still won though, which shows the govt must have the 'appalling policy agenda'. Honestly, anyone who watches Sky is an idiot.

Dead man waiting! Billy ‘cold pie eater’ Shorten ready to pounce 🐃

The absolute worse case victory ever in the realm of victories 😂

Kenny is a mixture of aids and the pox.

Who gives a shit what Chris Kenny says.

hughriminton Yes, they actually HAVE policies. Why do you find that so confronting? I guess you prefer fear & smear.

Surely branch stacking would have done the trick

WINNERS ARE GRINNERS CHRIS YOUR MORRISONS LAP BOY 👦

Correction twit Labor won libs lost build a bridge and get over it

Really clutching at straws here

winning is bad?

Kenny is the biggest ¢ï¢˚ß∆¨¢kü® around - an ugly man inside and out

They won dip$hit

Ha ha ha ha. A Wins a Win.

WTF? What is wrong with this channel? Sky News alright - sky high delusions - busy covering up for the grand theft being undertaken by the Liberal Party and the busy busy laundering of tax revenue into donations by way of lucrative contracts. FFS EM was always a swing electorate

hughriminton Kinda lame. Please try harder next time C-

😂😂😂 They won idiot 🙄

Appalling. Describes Kenny.

How about the Liberals difficulty in winning Eden Monaro?

FatherBob Chris your dates here

🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Why is Sky so obsessed with Labour? Its embarrassing. Get over it and move on because Scotty lost whether you like it or not. Start digging into LNP corruption.

So a swing to Lib and a lower Labor vote is a good thing in a by-election that govts never win is a good thing? You must LOVE being in opposition!

Eden Monaro goes with the govt. Less Mike Kelly’s popularity McBain walk-up starter and wins. Another loss for Fiona ...

FFS.. Kenny is an idiot.

What difficulty? They WON

FatherBob Why not have a Chris Kenny give us Rupert's interpretation of how the 'most popular PM in recent memory' was able to lose a by-election where he was the front man representing the female LNP candidate who was pushed into the wings? Now, that'd be an interesting insight!

What else do you expect the talking dick to say ?

They still won, Chris. Sting a little?

I totally agree, champ. It IS weird that AustralianLabor didn’t do significantly better considering ScottMorrisonMP’s LiberalAus government is a colossal fucking failure.

FatherBob Scomos inability to win in Eden-Monaro even with a ‘68%’ approval rating proves the RWNJ media are just making shit up to push the Murdoch Menace agenda. Tell that to shit for brains Chris Kenny

Chris Kenny wouldn’t know what day of the week it was nobody gives a shit what he says

After the LNP pork barrelling and rorts, it was an amazing win. Sky is trash.

Bit of a stretch given a minor swing in a tricky seat during a pandemic Chrissy. Swing and a miss, as usual.

Australian Government ScottMorrison State Media stooge says what? Do your journalistic duty, for a change, . Australia ScottyFromMarketing

How many times did Chris Kenny fail abjectly to become a politician? Something to do with his toxic policies if I remember.

hughriminton Someone needs to tell this “news” organisation that their coverage of the EM bi election set the lowest standard ever seen in this country and “Monday quarterbacking” is meant to say you were right all along. Not double down on misinformation

hughriminton Murdoch trying to poison the water. Be gracious and take your bat and ball & go home.

They had no difficulty winning it.

But they lost.

Someone’s a bit sore 😢

hughriminton Labor won with difficulty? Liberals lost with ease!

Chris Kenny

Chris Kenny is the ultimate, the pinnacle, the peak of right wing fuckwitery RWFW

murdoch shit rags still trying to make out the libs won.

It didn’t win.... the LNP won on first preferences.

They didn't win they retained with a lower number then last time.

'Labor looks to have won': Eden-Monaro set to elect its first female MP since FederationWhile neither party have claimed victory in Saturday's byelection in key marginal seat Eden-Monaro, ABC election analyst Antony Green says it is likely to go to Labor. All winning is beautiful! Sucked in Costello’s ‘The Age’, I hope you lot choke on this win. How about you do a 60 minutes episode on the latest Liberal Party branch stacking scandal that just dropped! Honestly just sack Costello if you ever want to be treated seriously again! Voters often vote 1 for a candidate who won't get up and then preference the next best candidate, knowing they have a chance of getting up. That isn't ugly that is democratic preferential voting. Only warming the seat for Libs till next fed election. Will be easy for them to win after labor still holding on.
