Liberal Senator SenatorMcGrath says the Labor Party needs to stop acting like a “second rate defence agent” for the actions of the Chinese communist dictatorship.

Liberal Senator James McGrath says the Labor Party needs to stop acting like a “second rate defence agent” for the action of the Chinese communist dictatorship. “The Labor Party have been captured by this pro-China faction,” Mr McGrath told Sky News host Paul Murray.

It comes as Labor members continue to criticise the government and coalition backbenchers for publicly disparaging the actions of the Chinese Communist Party including the introduction of radical national security laws onto Hong Kong. “We are facing a serious problem here,” he said. Image: AP

SenatorMcGrath For the rest of world, it is simply not a choice between America and China but really a choice between justice and evil. Now is the time to unite the world against the CCP. Of course, courtesy of Party Secretary Xi for accelerating CCP’s suicide program in the last six months.

SenatorMcGrath It is not too late to make a U-turn for countries used to work with the Chinese Communist Party. President Trump has summoned the previously divided US with strong determination to defeat the CCP.

SenatorMcGrath Australia is a democracy which cherishs freedom of speech. Labor has the right to defend China. What's wrong with defending your biggest customer who buys your land, farms, mines. Australia can't even produce enough toilet rolls for its people! Angering China is a bad idea.

Labor cannot hide behind the pandemic when it comes to Eden-Monaro: Credlin | Sky News AustraliaLabor is already blaming COVID-19, rather than Anthony Albanese, for its performance in the Eden-Monaro by-election, according to Sky News host Peta Credlin.\n\nLabor’s primary vote is down by 3.86%, with the party’s candidate Kristy McBain relying on a strong result in pre-polling to get her over the line.\n\nDuring a heated exchange with Labor’s deputy leader Richard Marles, Ms Credlin said COVID-19 cannot re-write history. \n\n“You can’t hide from the fact, mate, it reflects on your leader,” Ms Credlin said.\n\n“In 100 years, what we didn’t have world wars? We didn’t have other global issues? We didn’t have things like the GFC? … There are plenty of things that have happened in the last 100 years. This pandemic is important but it’s not seismic that it rewrites history.”\n\n“We’re talking about an opposition seat which has been held by less than 2 per cent, it’s on 0.9 per cent. That’s the precondition which would give rise to a circumstance where an opposition could lose a seat to the government,” Mr Marles replied.\n\nIf Liberal Party candidate Fiona Kotvojs won Eden-Monaro, it would be the first time in over 100 years a government has won a seat off an opposition in a by-election.\n AlboMP I’m surprised Peta didn’t blame the South Sudanese AlboMP She would say that wouldn't she. And don't mind that Labor is currently holding the seat. What was the swing? AlboMP
