The Prime Minister’s rhetoric has captured the importance of the jobs issue for Australians. Anthony Albanese has failed to grasp it.

The 2022 election is taking place with employment numbers that most modern governments of Australia could only dream about. Last week, the rounded-up jobless rate for March, the lowest since November 1974, and it is tipped to fall further over coming months, given the 423,000 job vacancies that employers are desperately trying to fill.

The remarkable jobs recovery has been fuelled by Australia’s biggest-ever budget support package – which now leaves a looming $1.2 trillion federal public debt to pay down – unsustainably cheap money, and the virtual cessation of immigration.

Morrisons' indecency, lies, & deceit have stained Australia, and we've had enough of the un-Australian disgraceful depravity that he spews out. People who have died for this country during war would be below disgusted by his betrayal of our own. MorrisonMustGo auspol

You mean the jobs that the Morrison Government will quietly provide to migrants on temporary work visas?

Can Boris Johnson survive? The prime minister is on the ropes but not yet outThe Tory leader is unpopular for breaking lockdown rules but his departure may depend on options for his replacement Nope Not thrilled by Boris but I'll give him credit for his handling of the Ukraine situation. Give him credit for his walk through a war zone. With a weak opposition and a compliant media? There’s no way he will resign or be forced out.
