Kanye West is being investigated by police on suspicion of battery after an alleged brawl in Los Angeles where the rapper reportedly punched a fan who asked for an autograph.

The 44-year-old, also known as Ye, is at the centre of a suspected battery report taken by the Los Angeles Police Department early Thursday morning.

Citing law enforcement sources, TMZ claimed the altercation occurred around 3am and published video footage of Kanye shouting on a street. In the clip Kanye could be heard yelling, “Did y’all say that or not? Did y’all say that or not? … Cuz that’s what happened right f***ing now.” He left the scene before law enforcement arrived but the fan in question allegedly recorded the encounter on his phone, The
