Jacqui Lambie names the $157m price of her support for income tax package | CroweDM

Tasmania's social housing debt is equivalent to 0.1 per cent of the $158 billion value of the income tax cuts over ten years.

The government is confident of gaining support from three Senate crossbenchers - Cory Bernardi, and Centre Alliance's Stirling Griff and Rex Patrick - but needs four to pass any legislation if Labor does not agree. Senator Lambie said Tasmanian families were sleeping in cars, parks and tents during winter and needed more help from the federal government, which currently charges the state government money to repay old debts on social housing investments.

CroweDM And who says Australian politics is not corrupt.

CroweDM This is everything that’s wrong with politics. Appeasements aplenty

CroweDM Jacqui Lambie has no respect for the mandate of the electorate. Labor MP Peter Khalil: The Morrison Government has a mandate for all the tax cuts

CroweDM Careful Jacqui don't overdo it or it could all come to nothing. Be sensible with your demands.

CroweDM She's stolen Labor's thunder.

CroweDM If the Gov’t is going to buy its way through legislation then the surplus for next year and the tears after will be gone this year. What a hopeless mob they are.

CroweDM Jacqui follow the advice of former US President LBJ 'When you have them by the balls - their hearts and minds will follow'

CroweDM Rest assured JacquiLambie you might get $157M & good you want to help Tasmanians but Morrison‘s govt will definitely find ways to diddle Tasmania in other ways.Australians need health & social services which need funding, tax cuts to already well off will drain that funding

CroweDM She wants to be Brian Harradine but sadly lacks the subtlety, influence or smarts. He would never have trumpeted what his price was in public.

CroweDM God love you Jackie

CroweDM Can always count on her to think small

CroweDM Can't expect Lambie to carry all the weight..she was voted in by her Tas' constituents, she will work for those people...fair enough...what stinks is the LNP govt' using treasury monies- OUR MONEY-to bargain with the cross-benchers....LNP criminals and swindlers!

CroweDM Throw out those eyebrows, Jackie.

margo694 CroweDM I don’t know! There seems to be false equivalence in this bargain! JacquiLambie Isn’t there a better way?

CroweDM So that's how JacquiLambie wants to operate. Pork barreling and bribes to give tax cuts for the rich. auspol

CroweDM What a joke

MinhKular CroweDM Pathetic excuse for a senator. Total rent seeker-at least phon has stopped trying to pretend.

CroweDM JaquieLambie commitment to assisting the poor would carry more weight if it was spread across Australia, rather than holding Australians to ransom, to pay a debt Tasmania OWES; this is a decision to benefit ONLY Tasmania.

CroweDM It's amazing how these fools think they know wats best makes, me sick an to all you aholes that voted these bible bashers bak in pat yourselves on your back
