China’s continued attempts to bully Australian industry shows its impossible to reason with a “repressive communist government,” says Michael Kroger.

Chief Executive of the Australian Industry Group Innes Willox hit back at China and said Australian businesses cannot let Beijing continue to bully them.

“We won’t miss the abuse, our lobsters being left to die at their airports, our coal being left at ports for months at a time, their petty bureaucracy, their authoritarianism, and their determination to punish,” Mr Willox said. Mr Kroger told Sky News it is “totally misguided” to think China can be dealt with in a reasonable and rational way. “These people exist by virtue of breaking every rule in the world in which we live,” he said.

brazenozzyis60 what would that say about competence of a government which enthusiasticly urged Aussies to bet their businesses on dealing with China? Actually, of course, it is drivel, but no country is going to quietly accept slanders promoted on the international stage as America's cat's paw

China is our enemy. Its leaders are evil, murderous and cannot be trusted. Australia and the rest of the world need to break away from any dealings what so ever with China. BoycottMadeInChina

Skynews and the rest of the media loves turning us into xenophobic monsters! It was decades of Aus Gov policy favouring the Chinese market and turning it's back on Aus manufacturing that got us here. China is just doing what a global power does. Using leverage to for their gain.

Tell that to JFK cubanmissilecrisis

There's no reasoning with this dictator.

Everyone forgets, who made you all realise CCP were this bad...Trump did with out Trump calling out China, Australia would be happy to continue selling its whole country to China...now the people have finally woken up...thanks to Trump!

Perhaps they're waiting until we don't have a government full of corrupt fuckwits before coming to the table.

Insightful by Kroger, what a genius, couldn’t even predict the total demise of the Liberal Oarty in Victoria !!

Little too late to be bitch’n the elites should’ve stoped selling there arses to China right from the start morons what did you think was going to happen it’s like a midget taking on Andre the Giant we all well know how that’s going to end unless the midget had bigger missiles.

China doesn't do 'reason' The CCP is not reasonable. Never Ever Trust the Chinese!

Why Australia must disconnect with China

Well true democracies don't agree with totalitarian governments but when you've effectively given your balls to a country that makes everything you own then you effectively have no choice but to deal with them.

“... the trade war generated self-inflicted damage to the US without curbing China’s exports or adversely impacting its economy and that the chaotic nature of the attack on China's technology sector is ad hoc, crude and lacks a clear framework.”

Michael who?

Get Daryl on it !

in international relations you don't 'reason' with anyone - you work with what is there using what you have to defend you country's interests. Preferably, after you found the strength to have a sober look at yourself.

That might be the same reason why Australia didn't send manufacture and the majority of trade to the Soviet Union in the 50/60/70 and 80s.

Bullies never see any any other point of view. Its their way or not at all...

Rip the Bandage off Now .

It’s also hard to reason with SlyNews nutcases!
