So, what was your New Year’s resolution? If it was to get a good divorce lawyer, you’re not alone. January and February are the peak months for couples to split and the first Monday of the year is now known by lawyers as D-day: divorce day.

In reality, though, there will be nothing left for couples to share … as you’ll have thrown it all at each other weeks ago. It’ll be an amicable split, all right – you both get 50 per cent of the acrimony. Also on offer could be support groups for fellas who won’t ask for directions when they’re lost, which possibly explains why Superman is constantly flying around in his undies.

KathyLette Great article and highlights all those annoying little habits that eventually breaks the camels back. Comes back to the fact that most people go into marriage not knowing what to expect so a little education will go a long way for sure. theage

KathyLette Kathy, While working 14 hr days I still vacuumed the house 3 times a wk, did 95 % of supermarket shopping, washed sheets towels wkly and remade all beds, did 80% of the ironing and 100% of all outdoor work & pool, cooked 2/3 times a wk. Still my beloved left. Advice please!
