Iranian women are ‘risking their lives fighting against real tyranny’: Rita PanahiSky News host Rita Panahi says Iranian women are risking their lives fighting against “tyranny”. “They are fighting to reclaim the rights they lost when the Islamist mullahs took over the country,” Ms Panahi said. “And they’re back in the streets, and what prompted this latest uprising was the killing of Mahsa Amini, who was violently arrested by morality police for not wearing her hijab properly. “Many of those marching in Iran right now are sons and daughters of women who were once free.” They are being paid well by US imperialist interference inside Iran, many countries even once strong allies like the suadi are pushing back on poisonous relations with US... I'm reminded of those Catholic women in Northern Ireland and how the RUC used to deal with them.
