Sky News host Paul Murray says a recent poll conducted by the Institute of Public Affairs which shows “about a third of Australians … don’t believe the ABC reflects them” has been painted by the media as “liberal aligned”.

“The media, when they write up that this came from the IPA they say it’s liberal aligned”.

Mr Murray said conversely the media never says a study or a poll is “Labor aligned for the Grattan Institute” or Labor and “Greens aligned for the Australia Institute”. “This is how they slant the news,” he said. “If its news they don’t like from a source they don’t like they’ll tell you where it comes from. “If it’s a poll that comes from GetUp during an election or the CFMEU, they don’t even tell you.

More than 50% of Australians don't believe the present Govt. Reflects them but believe Sky news and Paul Murry are LNP aligned.

Selection bias = IPA poll of Scott Morrison look alikes.

The IPA? Murrary? 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Yes, they are aligned with LNP, well done.

theirABC Time to privatise

The Aussies who hate the ABC have got what !? ...at least four trashy American-style shit channels that do reflect them & their moronic dumbed down consumer culture... But the LNP are determined to eliminate all public scrutiny & want sell ABC to their mates.

Was that an IPA poll? So the total sample was 143?

85% of Australians see as a revolting fantasy world, power porn for the sicko Murdoch’s. The other 15% live in regional Qld.

Rubbish piece of research and journalism.

Hmm... any detail as to how the pollster recruited their sample?

What recent poll? A newspoll controlled by the Rupert Murdoch media? Show a link or info to the poll or its BS!

It would be a lot more

Well Dr Who doesn’t reflect me so...

Pie in Sky fake news,is pure rubbish.

Well we all know the IPA is a conservative stinktank

snosaghes

IPA and Murray, the pits of 'journalism'. newscorpse

Only a third? Methinks this was a flawed survey!

Which means it’s relevant to 2/3. Majority rules so back off

The IPA? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Hahahahahahahaha

Most Australians find the IPA to be more reprehensible than NeoNazis!

swannnyco Here's a poll I prepared earlier (2,300 votes with 1hr to go). 91.1% say the ABC does not represent them or their values.

I'm not very good at maths but doesn't that suggest that two thirds of people think that the ABC does represent them? And, as Meatloaf says, Two out of Three ain't Bad...

Hold up the mirror, people. If Getup did a survey looking at Sky News, and how it aligns with the values of Australians, what would it say?

Well yes because the ABC is anti liberal.

So 2/3rds do you. That’s called a reasonable majority. Pathetic Sky.

Paul Murray Live

AmberX994874 I would say 2 thirds

Just them saying that, shows their bias. TheirABC

A poll I just conducted says the IPA & Sky are full of sh9t!

Paul Murray😂😂 A Trumpian suckhole

When a survey statement uses the words 'IPA' and 'polling' in the same sentence, Im more interested in the validity of the process, purpose and objective rather than the outcome.

Really! IPA asking if they agree with “The ABC does not represent the views of ordinary Australians” is designed to get a minimum vote in support of the ABC. 32% still disagree & 38% “neither agree or disagree”. Their hate campaign against my abcadelaide is failing! auspol

Sell it off

Newsflash...about 99% of Australians don't believe Sky after dark reflects them. 😅😂🤣🤣🤣

Gosh that means Two Thirds do does Murray the Moron know thats more than a Third 🤔

Only a third.

IPA poll?😂😂😂

probably the same third that opposed same-sex marriage rights

More likely accurate

During the bushfires, ABC TV, and Radio were on all waking hours in our house. Often two different radio streams for local and national and then fires near me and Twitter. I tried Sky News a couple of times, but their opinions really didn't help or match the with the facts

ABC -SBS host Aljazeera QATAR which is a banned because of terrorist sponsored action funds ,banned by Saudi Arabia which is allies of Australia but left affiliate with them .

Um, not great with maths but that would indicate to me that approx 70% of Australians DO believe the ABC reflects them and that is an overwhelming majority that any political party would be crazy to ignore. thisisnotjournalism

Sky News host Paul Murray and doesn’t reflect me

Of course it's Liberal aligned. It was done by the TheIPA and commented on by PMOnAir so hardly balanced.

The IPA 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♀️ So two thirds (the majority) do? Have you got stats on how many Australians think Sky represents them? BTW - No one needs to paint you anything. You're constant propaganda, and distortion of truth, shows you are 'liberal aligned'

IPA are responsible for inciting far right violence ...they have tax free status and are really a outlet for racist homophobic greedy Nazi types ASIO needs to investigate auspol abc730 GuardianAus ScottyFromMarketting australian smh thedrum abcnews insiders

So your openly admitting 2 thirds do trust them, you can't help but kick self goals at sky propaganda. Maybe you IPA flogs should work out what minority VS majority means before making stupid media releases like this.

IPA poll... LOL! Do a poll that has a stink around it and it will be examined, this one was and has a pong.

So that’s the IPA found two thirds of Australians thinks the ABC speaks for them?

You lost me at IPA....

Why would anyone trust a TheIPA poll when it comes to the ABC ? This independent poll is worth a 👀 at

ABC reflects globalism!

Hahahahahaha ,FFS Sky, Murray and the IPA. Folks here is the trifecta of fuckwittery and The very definition of fake news

Why would I care what Paul Murray says? And Sky News reflects about 5% of Australians judging by your ratings.

If you mention Paul Murray and SKY in the same sentence there you have it. A conglomeration of sewerage spilling onto the air waves. That is why i no longer have Foxtell..

bahaha is an excellent example right there what they say goes

so two thirds believe it does, that's not too bad at all

A third, more like 4/5 of Australians feel disenfranchised by the ABC!!

TheIPA what’s the sample size? Are the respondents stratified and randomized for age, gender, geographical location, religious beliefs, ethnic backgrounds etc? Or was it just a straw poll in a pub?

There are 200 ethnic communities in Australia and also America. I hope you see my point. Australia and America as we New them don't exist anymore. As the French now say, it's everyone for themselves.

66% is good support. Better than any political party. Maybe the ABC should run the show!

Who would believe the ipa run by liberals lies lies

Breaking: An organisation that wants to privatise the abc releases a poll saying less than 1/3 of australians agree with them. In other news, pmlive almost rates as highly as reruns of the Wombles for the 1st time ever.

lnp labor greens auspol auspol2020 can you let Oz know how much Sky paid in tax last fin? also, why is a foreign owned media company attacking our country’s media assets? shouldn’t we all unsubscribe from MurdochPress?

LNP members of the IPA. It’s like a union for the right wing nut jobs.

So let’s remember who funds the IPA and who has good old Barnaby in their pocket.

HAHAHAH. ABC is run by narcisstic misandrists and most Australians know it 😂😂😂

So by simple maths, the other 2 thirds must think it does represent them. Great work ourabc abcnews

'Painted' as liberal aligned? How about CONFIRMED as a Liberal 'think tank'?

Because it is - stupid 🤦‍♀️

So that equates to two thirds of Australians DO think the ABC reflects them then, fucking muppets at skynews..... while latest polls show only one in one thousand people think the muppets at skynews reflect their views. auspol ScottyFomMarketing

🤣😂😂😂🤣🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂

That stat must be incorrect. There is no way only 1/3 of Australians believe the ABC doesn’t represent them, it is at least 1/2 or perhaps 2/3.

Use to love the abc, I use to love reading it, watching it, listening to it, it didnt take sides it only told you the truth. Then Donald Trump came along. If you going to take sides there....

IPA. Ffs. More skyshitnews.

IPA poll, please.

ThisIsNotJournalism BoycottMurdoch .PMOnAir Dodgy Fake Charity IPA & DynataGlobal up to same old tricks they were over Racist Australians celebrating InvasionWars. 1,016 subjects‼️ Aus pop 25M. 14% strongly disagreed = 142 people‼️ NOT 1/3rd 8.33M‼️

That should surprise no one at all. Disgusting waste of hardworking Australian families money...

Fine. Two thirds of Australia does believe the ABC reports.. er, reflects.. their views. Sky News projects views. It does not ‘reflect’ views. It bloody invents views, and most are like rear view mirror views: distorted, smaller, receding.

IPA survey finds 69% of IPA supporters really, really do not dry jack to Ayn Rand.

The old IPA a Right Wing organization funded by Conservatives!

The IPA's motto:

Minority

No give a shit about the racist support right wing IPA! I hope They will gets raided by the AFP for their radical extremists right wing view

And a third believe the ABC does. So what is your point?

So two-thirds believe the ABC does reflect them.

You lot aren’t even entertaining as caricature.

Wow the Old Institute full of Right Wing Rednecks more Fake News.

It was an IPA poll. The feeder pool to the LNP decided to 'research' up an ABC hitpiece and only managed to find 33% of Australians are as childishly partisan and utterly stupid as they are. This was the first poll in ages that reminded me that not all Aussies are morons.

Is that what Ginas think. Very relevant for those who live on a boat outside of oz jurisdiction
