The Vautins had originally listed their two-level penthouse with a private lift and rooftop terrace last February with $4m-plus price hopes, amid plans to build a dream home.An extension was added with a modern kitchen and butler’s pantry“Kim has always wanted to build a house,” the TV star said at the time.

“Whether we find an old home, knock it down and rebuild, we don’t care, we just want to have the time and space to do a good job,” he said. Their new home, a contemporary two-storey home on a 684sq m dry block, was marketed by Guy Powell, of Harcourts Coastal.Vendors Kimberley and Kyle Bate had undertaken a complete renovation over about 12 months after purchasing the late 1970s-built home in 2018.
