After last week announcing her resignation, Queensland's Integrity Commissioner Nikola Stepanov says it is not appropriate for the office to be under the control of the Public Service Commission.

Queensland's Integrity Commissioner is supporting calls for a formal review of potential interference by its oversight body, saying the current governance arrangement compromises her office.

"The provision of financial and administrative support for the Integrity Commissioner through the PSC creates the potential for conflicts of interest to arise between the two entities' functions.

It’s own govt lacks integrity and therefore it make sense that the independence of the Integrity Commissioner’s Office would be at risk of govt interference. They’ll keep accepting resignations until they have a puppet ruler in there. You should’ve stayed and upheld its integrity
